Child Safety Standards
In effect from August 17, 2026
These are the standards mybirth.day holds against child sexual abuse and exploitation. They are published in the open so that anybody — a parent, a user, an app store, an authority — can read what is never allowed here and what happens when it is found.
The short version: there is no form of it we tolerate, a person reviews every report, and we report offenders to the authorities.
1. What is never allowed
mybirth.day is a place to keep memories with the people who were there. It may never be used to harm a child. The following are prohibited in every form:
- child sexual abuse material — real, drawn or generated, and regardless of whether it is unlawful where the person posting it lives;
- sexualising a minor in any way, in text, imagery, audio, or anything else a memory can carry;
- grooming — building contact with a child in order to abuse or exploit them, whether the harm is meant to happen on mybirth.day or somewhere it leads;
- threatening anybody with intimate imagery, real or claimed;
- trafficking of minors, or advertising anything of the kind; and
- arranging, requesting or linking to any of the above anywhere else.
This is the one rule in our Terms of Service with no proportionality to it. There are no warnings and there is no way back onto the service.
2. What we do when we find it
The content comes down and the account is closed as soon as we know of it. We do not wait for the review of anything else to finish.
Child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), or to the competent authority where the law directs the report elsewhere, together with what we lawfully hold about the account that posted it. What is needed for an investigation is preserved for the investigators rather than simply destroyed.
We comply with the child safety laws of every place mybirth.day operates.
3. How to report it
Every wall and every profile on mybirth.day can be reported from the page itself, by anybody signed in. A person reads every report.
You can also write directly to [email protected], whether or not you have an account. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first — they can move faster than any website.
4. Who may use mybirth.day
Nobody under 13 may use mybirth.day, and there is no version of it for children. Registration refuses a birth date under that age, and an account found to belong to a younger child is closed and its information deleted, as our Privacy Policy describes.
5. Who answers for this
mybirth.day is responsible for these standards, and [email protected] is our designated child safety point of contact. Write there about anything on this page and a person will read it.
